Samsung S9 Plus Review

Being a Samsung flagship, it’s no surprise that it looks and feels expensive. It’s a glass and aluminum sandwich, rocking Gorilla Glass 5. Although it feels like a million bucks, it’s slippery.

A fingerprint sensor is on its back. It’s lightning-fast. Face-unlock is available too.

It’s big. Its screen stretches 6.2 inches across. Not only is it big, but it also rocks a great display. A Super AMOLED panel is present and the colours pack a punch. The handset can produce a range of colours too – it’s HDR10 rated.

How do you feel about an infinity display? It’s your lucky day, the S9+ has one.

Of course, it’s pin-sharp. Its resolution is 1440 x 2960 pixels.

You don’t have to worry about scratching it.  Like its back, Gorilla Glass 5 is on its front.

Out of the box, it runs Android 8. You can upgrade it to Android 10. It’s powered through One UI 2.1. What’s its chipset? The Exynos 9810. It’s super powerful – you’ll be able to game extensively.

Depending on how much you’re willing to pay, the storage you’ll get would differ. There are 64, 128, and 256 GB options. All of them come with 6 GB of RAM. The immense RAM makes moving through its systems fast.

Although ample storage is available, you’re also getting a MicroSD slot. You can expand its insides to 400 GB.

The device is thin. The following are its dimensions, 158.1 mm x 73.8 mm x 8.5 mm. That’s why a giant battery isn’t housed. There’s a 3500 mAh one inside of it. The mobile lasts a little over a day.

You’ll be using a USB-C port. A 15 W fast charger would have to be placed. The phone fully charges in a little over an hour and a half. The cherry on top is the wireless charging. Sadly, it doesn’t come with reverse charging.

Let’s talk about its cameras before wrapping things up. There’s a dual shooter on its front and back. Its primary camera consists of a 12 MP wide sensor, along with a 12 MP telephoto one. They take vibrant and colour accurate pictures. They’re especially good in low-light.

In terms of its front set-up, there is an 8 MP wide lens along with a 2 MP one. However, its 2 MP shooter isn’t for taking shots, it’s used for its face-unlock.

Here’s the deal:

The Galaxy S9+ is not very affordable. You’ll be able to grab it for around Rs.90,000-120,000 island-wide.
