iPhone 8 Review

The iPhone 8 was released a while back. How do you feel about owning a device that came out in 2017? Although it is over three years old, it still comes with specs that make it an excellent purchase.

Its screen is 4.7 inches. These days, mobiles are all about size – the majority of them have screens of over 6 inches. However, the panel on its display is superb. It’s Apple’s Super Retina glass, which means that it’s sharp.

It is very bright too; its screen can go over 600 max nits. You’ll easily be able to use it outdoors. That being said, a great screen-to-body ratio is not available. It is 65.4%.

We touched on its sharpness above, but how pin-like is it? It comes with a 750 x 1334 pixel resolution.

Who doesn’t love snacking while watching their favourite movies? The iPhone 8 comes with an oleophobic layer so oil will not stick to it.

Its front is strong as well. It rocks ion strengthened glass, so you won’t dent it.

Not only does it have a good-looking display, but it has a good looking rear too. You’ll be picking the mobile up in an aluminum and glass body. It’s super thin, being 138.4 mm x 67.3 mm x 7.3 mm. The gold variant it comes with is our favourite.

If you look across its sides, you won’t find a microSD slot. Apple products are notorious for not coming with expandable storage. You’re not getting a 3.5 mm headphone jack either.

There isn’t a fingerprint sensor on its back. It’s on the home-button and unlocks the handset in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t come with a face-unlock. This is a feature that appeared from the iPhone X onwards.

What’s the processor housed? It’s the Apple A11 Bionic chip. When released, it was known as one of the most powerful around. Currently, it’s still beastly, though. The RAM it comes with is good – moving through its systems would be buttery. You’re met with 2 GB of memory and either 64 or 256 GB of ROM.

The ROM you can pick it up with is a lot, so the fact that you can’t expand its space isn’t too bad.

Out of the box, it runs IOS 11. Apple is known to upgrade systems for generations, that’s why the 4-year-old iPhone received the latest IOS 14 upgrade.

iPhones are well-known for their superb cameras. The 8 is no different; it takes shots that are vibrant and colour accurate. Its rear sensor performs well even in low-light. How many mega-pixel is its back camera, though? You’ll be looking at a 12 MP wide lens.

On its front, a 7 MP camera is present. It’ll take shots that would keep you Instagram ready.

Here’s what you came for:

It was released three years ago. However, it’s still expensive and costs Rs.110,000 islandwide.
