You’ll be able to purchase it for around Rs.220,000 – 285,000 island-wide. Apple products are known to cost arms and legs. When it was first released, the Pro Max was more expensive.
It was released towards the end of 2019, so it’s rather new. Being an iPhone, it’s no surprise that it was made from premium materials. It rocks a Gorilla Glass and aluminum build. The materials make it feel rich. However, the glass on it collects fingerprints and is slippery.
Don’t worry about denting it, the Gorilla Glass is strong.
The device has superb dimensions. They are 158 mm x 77.8 mm x 8.1 mm. As it’s so thin, it oozes luxury.
It’s pretty big too. Its screen stretches 6.5 inches across. Holding it might be tough if you have small hands.
If it’s any consolation, we think its sides were curved well. Holding it for hours won’t leave your palms sore.
The unit is IP68 rated. It’ll be able to handle up to 4 meters of water for 30 minutes.
Like all Apple devices, the 11 Pro Max does not come with a micro SD slot. The storage you can pick it up with is more than decent, though. But there isn’t a 3.5 mm headphone jack either.
If you’re expecting to be able to pick it up in many colours, you’ll be disappointed. It’s available in:
We think the Midnight green variant looks the best.
The panel on its front is a Super Retina XDR OLED. The colours produced would be vibrant. Immersing in whatever you’re watching would be a breeze thanks to the large screen. The device does not have that much bezel action going on either. Its screen-to-body ratio is 83.7%.
You won’t notice any pixelation even if you look closely. Its resolution is an impressive 1242 x 2688 pixels.
Just like with its rear, there is Gorilla Glass on its front. Scratching it would be hard.
There is an oleophobic coating. Oil, grease, and muck won’t stick to it.
We just have to talk about how bright its display gets. 500 nits are the gold standard, and its display has a baseline of 800 nits. You can force it to reach an impressive 1200 nit mark if you want.
It runs IOS 13 out of the box. You can upgrade its systems to the latest IOS 14.4. Inside is the A13 Bionic chip. It’s not as powerful as the A14. However, it’s still beastly.
As mentioned, expanding its storage won’t be possible. But you can pick it up with decent ROM. You can buy it with 64, 256, or 512 GB of space. RAM-wise, 4 gigs would be present. It’s more than enough memory to let apps load fast.
Here’s the deal:
We’re not a fan of its battery. Apple is a brand that doesn’t do battery life well. The company placed an almost 4000 mAh unit inside of it. As its display is so big, the battery doesn’t cut it. It’ll fully drain in a day. And no, it can’t be removed.
You’ll be charging it with an 18 W fast charger. It would have to be placed inside its USB 2.0 port. The former flagship takes half an hour to reach a 50% charge.
Wireless charging is a feature you will get. If you’re expecting reverse charging, get ready to be disappointed.
Although Apple doesn’t make batteries well, they’re experts at cameras. The 11 Pro Max has a triple set-up on its rear. The set-up consists of a 12 MP primary wide lens, a 12 MP secondary telephoto lens, and a 12 MP tertiary ultrawide shooter. The shots taken would be superb even in low-light.
Something that helps it take pictures in dim settings would be the presence of the dual-LED flash.
On its front, it comes with a 12 MP wide shooter. There isn’t an LED sensor, though.
